Red-naped shaheen x Aplomado Hybrids

On the photos one can see my first two red-naped shaheen x aplomado hybrids I bred in 2009. They are very colourful birds with strong feet and long toes. The bird in the front is a female, the shy one behind her is its brother. The aplomado in the background is their mother. I bred a black gyrsaker x aplomado as well that I will show on my site when he is hard-penned. There are already some photos of him as a young chick.

Female white shaheen

This is one of my young female white shaheens of this year. Very pale bird with white dots in the neck, a small malar stripe and a strong beak.

Austrian peregrines

On these photos you can see some of my Austrian peregrines in adult and immature plumage. The birds of this line are rather pale with a brownish grey back in adult plumage with a cream coloured front and small markings. Compared to their body size they have big feet. They have an easygoing nature and are suited for waiting-on flights as well as for crow hawking. Average flying weight for a female is about 850 grams and 580 grams for a male.

2008 I was fortunate to breed some of this interesting hunting birds. I bred the first one in 2007 and was very pleased with her performance. The females should weigh around one kilo, the tiercels around 700 grams. They have a very stocky build and a powerful flight.

I have some young red-naped shaheens for sale each year. The photos show adult birds of this line.

Dark Peregrines

On the photos there are two sisters of dark peregrines from 2006 and 2007 shown, one in immature plumage, the other one in adult plumage. They are small sized peregrines best suited for waiting-on flights on game.

Red-naped Shaheen x Aplomado

On the photo you can see my first red-naped shaheen x aplomado hybrid. It´s the one with the golden down in my hand. The grey chick is a black gyr-saker x aplomado hybrid, the others are red-naped shaheen x gyr-saker hybrids.

Black gyr-saker x aplomado hybrid

On the photo you can see the first aplomado-tribrid, in this case a black gyr-saker x aplomado. The father is a 1100 gr. black gyr-saker hybrid, the mother an aplomado falcon. This bird was bred in 2009.
